Pursuing Peace 
Dad (Cecil Bailey) used to say he liked Christmas time because it was a safe time to talk about peace on earth. My other namesake (Tommy Douglas) always ended his speeches (after WW2) with a call for nuclear disarmament. Perhaps it is harder to live peacefully with those closest to us.
